2024 Lexus of Sutherland Golf Invitational - Macquarie Links

The Lexus of Sutherland Golf Invitational was held at Macquarie Links under warm, but perfect conditions. The course was looking beautiful and with plenty of help on course, including 6-time Australian Long Drive Champion Mark Byslma, low scores would be required to feature at the end of the day.

In the end, one team shot a record score of 57 and would take out the win by 2.5 shots. The third placed team of Yun Hee Lee, Seoung Suk Lee, Mi Sub Han & Chi Su Kim were off to a steady start to be one under after eleven holes. Things quickly changed when they had four birdies in a row, but they could only manage pars on their final three holes and wound have to settle for third place with nett 52.75. Just 0.5 ahead were the runners up with nett 52.25. They were off to a strong start with three birdies in their first five holes and managed another seven birdies throughout the round, including crucial birdies on their final two holes. Well played, Alan Lau, David Lu, Joe Wong & Andrew Kwan. The winners had the lowest score ever recorded at a Lexus event, an amazing 57 - that's 15 under par! Unbelievably, they started with a par that would offer no sign of things to come. That quickly changed when they had three birdies and an eagle in their next four holes. Two pars would follow before another incredible run of four birdies and an eagle in a five hole stretch. A couple of pars in a row slowed the momentum until four birdies to finish allowed them to sign for nett 49.75. Congratulations Chris Gschwind (24), Rolf Gschwind (27), Buddy Nagi (1) & Moe Nagi (6).
