2024 Lexus of Sutherland Golf Invitational - Port Kembla Golf Club

The Lexus of Sutherland Golf Invitational was held at Port Kembla and incredibly, with rain forecast, we had 100% attendance. The guests were rewarded with the rain clearing before they arrived, leading to a perfect day for golf. The course was looking beautiful and with plenty of help on course, including 6-time Australian Long Drive Champion Mark Byslma, low scores would be required to feature at the end of the day.

The third placed team of Brent Seldon, Shane Duff, Steven Yuen & Cheryll Meakins weren't off to the best start with a bogey on their first hole of the day. Their nerves were settled with a par on the next before they had five birdies in their next seven holes to rocket up the leader board. They would record three more birdies on their remaining holes to finish with nett 54.37 and take out third place on a count back. Just over a shot ahead were the runners up of Brett Poll, Gerry Fischl, Rod Poll & Rodney Poll with nett 53.25. They had a completely different start to the third place team with an eagle on their first hole. Nine birdies would then be added to their card, including crucial birdies on their final two holes to finish in second place. The winners had a steady start with one birdie in their first four holes. They would then play their next 10 holes in seven under par and had the luxury of only one birdie in their last four holes to still take out the win with nett 52.12. Congratulations Grant Deitch (27), Grant Ingram (27), Michael Keenan (13) & Brendon Keenan (20). For the full results from the day, please click on the button below - 'Download All Results'.
