2024 Lexus of Newcastle Golf Invitational - The Vintage Golf Club

The Lexus of Newcastle Golf Invitational was held The Vintage Golf Club and whilst the weather was perfect for the start of the event, the wind came up later in the day and would make scoring challenging. That said, there was plenty of help on course, including Lexus Australia Golf Ambassador, Dimi Papadatos.

The third placed team of Peter Wyper, Jennifer Wyper, Stephen Roberts & Dianne Roberts were three under par after six holes and sitting at the pointy end of the leaderboard. Unfortunately for them they could not muster another birdie for the rest of the round and would have to settle for third place with nett 57. The runners up were only half a shot off the winning score with nett 55. They had an extremely volatile round with seven birdies and four bogeys - two of those bogeys would come in their last three holes and drop them out of top place. Well played, Kay Russell, Phil Russell, Peter Clark and Juliet Clark. The winners took full advantage of the calm conditions to start the round and were six under par after eight holes and all whilst being the only three-ball team in the field. The final ten holes would prove to be a little more challenging with three bogeys and only two more birdies. Still, it was enough to take out the win with nett 54.5. Congratulations Brian Swayn (27), Debby Swayn (32) & Tim Henderson (10). For the full results from the day, please click on the button below - 'Download All Results'.
