2024 Lexus of Indooroopilly Golf Invitational - Links Hope Island

The Lexus of Indooroopilly Golf Invitational was held at Links Hope Island and whilst the weather was perfect for the start of the event, the wind came up later in the day and would make scoring challenging. That said, there was plenty of help on course, including Lexus Australia Golf Ambassador, Dimi Papadatos.

The third placed team of Jamie Lees, Melinda Lees, Vincent Fong & Angela Fong were even par after four holes with two pars, a birdie and a bogey. Five birdies in the next six holes would move them up the leaderboard and another three birdies before they finished their round would ensure they stayed near the top, eventually finishing with nett 54.37 and just missing out on second place via a count back. The runners up, also on nett 54.37 made a par on their first hole and quickly followed it up with an eagle on their second (8th hole), thanks to assistance from Dimi. An incredible back nine of six under par got them over the line on the count back, but it could have been much more with six pars to finish their round. Well played, Li Chen, Min Liu, Victor Lim & Ping Liu. The winners won by just over a shot with nett 52.87. They were having a nice round to be three under par after eleven holes, but this left them in the middle to bottom of the field at the time. Then some unbelievable golf ensued with a run of eagle, birdie, eagle, birdie, birdie that gave them the luxury of two pars to finish and still take out the win. Congratulations Tony Avis (9), Terri Avis (17), Greg Hodgkinson (20) & Sue Hodgkinson (27). For the full results from the day, please click on the button below - 'Download All Results'.
