2024 Lexus of Chatswood Golf Invitational - Terrey Hills Golf & Country Club - 16th May

The Lexus of Chatswood Golf Invitational was held at Terrey Hills Golf & Country Club under calm and dry conditions. The course was very wet from the recent rain in Sydney and carts were required to stay on the paths. The soft conditions made going tough and the winning score reflected that.

The third placed team of Roger Appathurai, Stacey Appathurai, Matt Quilter & Chris Quilter had an indifferent start with par, bogey and birdie in their first three holes. Thankfully for them, there were no more bogeys and when they added seven birdies, they made their way quickly up the leaderboard to finish with nett 56.62. Just 0.62 ahead were the runners up with nett 56. They also had a slow start and were even par after six holes. Four birdies in a row midway through their round got them back on track and they were able to sneak into second place. Well played, James Wright, Lauren Ryan, Chek Huon & Tau San Lim. In contrast to second and third, the winners had a fantastic start and were four under after only five holes. The pressure was now on to maintain their spot on top of the leaderboard and in the end they scrapped through by less than a shot with nett 55.12. The on course charity event and raffle raised in excess of $7,000 for the Jeans for Genes Charity - thanks to all who contributed! Geraldine was on the 1st hole with Flightscope - for a collection of swings, please see the video below:

For the first time at a Lexus of Chatswood event, we introduced a painting class for those who are not golfers. This event was enjoyed by all and photos can be seen below.

The opportunity to go to the Lexus Melbourne Cup and play The Royal Melbourne Golf Club was drawn at the end of the day and Greer Couston was the lucky winner. Greer will have the opportunity to attend LANDMARK by Lexus for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.

In addition to the golf days Gillard Golf will be hosts a number of golf tours.
