2024 Lexus of Brisbane Golf Invitational - Links Hope Island
The Lexus of Brisbane Golf Invitational was held at Links Hope Island and whilst the course was wet from rain in the previous days, the weather was perfect for our event. These conditions allowed the winning score to be a full three shots better than the day before.
The third placed team of Anthony Walduck, Bree Walduck, Kelly Stoddart & Timothy Stoddart were quick out of the blocks with two birdies in their first three holes. Three more would follow before a dreaded bogey made its way onto the scorecard, slowing their momentum. One more birdie was added before they finished their round and they would sign for nett 55.62. The runners up were just 0.62 shots better with nett 55 and after eight holes were near the top of the leaderboard at four under par. Things slowed with a number of pars before three birdies in their last six holes would allow them to finish second. Well played, Ed Chandra, Brogue Rinebarger, Tony Anderson & Paul Pisasale. The winners won by exactly two shots with nett 53 and were off to a great start with a birdie on their very first hole. Six pars would follow before they were able to play their next six holes in six under par, including an eagle on the 18th hole. A bogey stalled their charge, but another two birdies were secured and enough had already been done to secure victory. Congratulations Myles Burfield (13), Laura Gilchrist (36), Anthony Coorey (21) & Millie Coorey (18). For the full results from the day, please click on the button below - 'Download All Results'.
