2024 Lexus of Berwick Golf Invitational - Peninsula Kingswood Country Club

The Lexus of Berwick Golf Invitational was held at beautiful Peninsula Kingswood Country Club. The course was in fantastic shape as always and the calm conditions would mean good scores were required to finish high up the leaderboard. In fact one team went on to shoot an amazing 60!

The third placed team of Lyall Johaan, Adam Kelly, Steven Ivak & Tim Carleton had a par on their first hole and then and incredible hole out for eagle on the second to get their round going. Nine birdies would then follow and they would sign for a 61, but still their nett score of 54.25 was only good enough for third. Exactly one shot ahead were the runners up with nett 53.25. They had a birdie on their first hole and never looked back, recording another eight birdies and no bogeys. Well played, Rob Wrightson, Tim Credlin, Mark Daniell and Luke Ewart. The winners had the lowest score of the day, an amazing 60! Unbelievably, they started with two pars but when you have twelve birdies in your next fifteen holes, that can tend to change your team fortunes. In the end they won by just over a shot with nett 51.75. Congratulations Brett Ryan (6), Bryan Irwin (18), Stephen Hoppe (27) & Sean Hopkins (15). The on course charity event raised $4,650 for the Transit Outreach Program - thanks to all who contributed! Geraldine was on the 6th hole with Flightscope - for a collection of swings, please see the video below:

The opportunity to go to the Lexus Melbourne Cup and play The Royal Melbourne Golf Club was drawn at the end of the day and Richard Horvat was the lucky winner. Richard will have the opportunity to attend LANDMARK by Lexus for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
