2024 Lexus Melbourne Cup Experience - Royal Melbourne Golf Club

The Lexus Melbourne Cup Experience took place at the number one course in the country, Royal Melbourne Golf Club. The course was in great condition and guests would have to get used to the challenging greens and their firm surrounds. Whilst two teams separated themselves from the field, the next five teams were within a shot of one another.

The runners up had the lowest score of the day, a fantastic 62! That said, after ten holes they were four under par and a few back from the best team on the course. Six birdies in their final eight holes would change all that, including four in a row at one stage. In the end, they missed out on the winning score by just 0.25 of a shot when they finished with nett 55.5. Well played, Vee Quinn, Mark Quinn, Robert Sergiacomi & Gavin Murray. The winners had a bogey on their second hole of the day, the short par 3 7th, and were surely not thinking about a win at that stage. A birdie on the very next hole settled the nerves and then they got on a run with five birdies in seven holes to make their way up the leader board. All was not done though, and a timely birdie on their last hole got them over the line with nett 55.25. We were also lucky enough to have Lexus Golf Ambassador, Dimi Papadatos join us on the day and I would encourage you all to keep an eye out for Dimi on the Australian tour this year.

In addition to the golf days, Gillard Golf hosts a number of golf tours. In 2025 we will be heading to the US Masters for a 5th time and in June 2025 we will host our inaugural tour to Portugal (only 4 spots remaining).
