2024 Lexus of Chatswood Golf Invitational - Terrey Hills - 11th June

The Lexus of Chatswood Golf Invitational was held at Terrey Hills Golf & Country Club and despite the recent heavy rain, the course held up well. This was the final event of the year and interestingly the winning scores over the three events were just 0.63 apart with a range from 55.12 - 55.75.

The third placed team of Blake Wickenden, Will Shinn, Shaun Wickenden & Chris Allen had an fantastic start to be seven under par after twelve holes and on top of the leaderboard. Unfortunately for them, they could only secure one more birdie in their remaining six holes and would have to settle for third place with nett 56.37. Just 0.25 ahead were the runners up with nett 56.12. They also had a quick start and were five under after just six holes. However, they were only able to get three more birdies for the rest of their round and when a bogey made its way onto the scorecard, the victory was out of sight. Well played, Kyuseop Kwak, Seon Mi Kim, Junghurn Noh & Kyung Sun. The winners were sitting midway on the leaderboard after five holes when they were only one under par. Five birdies in their next seven holes moved them up near the top of the leaderboard but it still took a birdie on their final hole to secure victory with nett 55.62. The on course charity event and raffle raised in excess of $5,000 for Tour de Cure - thanks to all who contributed! Geraldine was on the 1st hole with Flightscope - for a collection of swings, please see the video below:

Twelve golfers also played in the 3-ball Ambrose event at the nearby Par 3 course and scoring between the four teams extraordinarily close with scores of 55, 55, 56 & 56 meaning a count back would be required. Congratulations to the following winners:

Runners Up - Adele Fyffe, Carolyn Morrow & Robert Petterson - 55

The opportunity to go to the Lexus Melbourne Cup and play The Royal Melbourne Golf Club was drawn at the end of the day and Geoff Tompsett was the lucky winner. Geoff will have the opportunity to attend LANDMARK by Lexus for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
