2024 Lexus of Cairns Golf Invitational - Palmer Sea Reef Golf Club

The Lexus of Cairns Golf Invitational was held at Palmer Sea Reef Golf Club under perfect conditions. The course was in fantastic shape, meaning good scores would be required to make it onto the podium.

In the end, two teams separated themselves from the field by over three shots. The third placed team of Michael Kim, Jason Kim, Steven Hill & David Bruce had a steady start with four pars, a birdie and a bogey in their first six holes. That said, even par was not going to see them take out a prize and thankfully for them, they would post six birdies in their remaining holes to rocket up the leaderboard and finish with nett 57. The runners up were well ahead of third place, but just 0.75 shots off the winning score with with nett 53.75. They had an amazing round going with six birdies and an eagle, but unfortunately a bogey at their final hole would mean they would have to settle for second place. Well played, Chris Marsh, Danny Towne, Heath Williams & Dean Hill. The winners were one under par after eight holes with no signs of lifting the trophy until five birdies quickly followed, allowing them to sign for 65. The opportunity to go to the Lexus Melbourne Cup and was drawn at the end of the day and Seulkyoung Kim was the lucky winner. Seulkyoung will play golf at Royal Melbourne and the following day attend LANDMARK by Lexus for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
