2023 Lexus of Toowoomba Golf Invitational - Toowoomba Golf Club

The Lexus of Toowoomba Golf Invitational was held at the beautiful Toowoomba Golf Club under cool but dry conditions. The course was in great shape and low scores would be the order of the day.

Two team had incredible rounds of 61 and another was just shy with 62, but of course, handicaps would have to come into play and none of the teams above would end up taking out the win. The third placed team of Peter Purcell, Rhondda Purcell, Kohen Mathiesen & Marci Ingram had an indifferent start with a par, birdie and bogey in their first three holes. Thankfully for them, no more bogeys were recorded and six birdies together with a generous donation at the charity hole would allow them to finish with nett 54.12. The runners up were extremely steady to start with five straight pars until they found something and played their next four holes in five under par. Two more birdies would follow to keep them in the hunt, but it was the birdie, birdie, birdie finish that jumped them up into second place with nett 53.25. Well played, Jordy Gloss, Kevin Gloss, Ben George & Cris Stewart. The winners were challenged at the start of the day when they were the only 3-ball team on the course. However a great handicap combination and some fine play that included seven birdies and a hole in one (on the charity hole) saw them take out the victory by just 0.25 of a shot with nett 53. Congratulations David Alderdice (3), Tim Murray (27) & Jenny Hartwig (36). For the full results from the day, please click on the button below - 'Download All Results'.
