2023 Lexus of Cairns Golf Invitational - Palmer Sea Reef

The Lexus of Cairns Golf Invitational was held at Palmer Sea Reef Golf Club. The forecast of rain never eventuated and despite the strong winds, the players managed to shoot some great scores.

The third placed team of Mark Griffiths, Luke Griffiths, Elie Sopas & Ben Baty were one of the few teams without bogey on their card. This, together with a couple of birdies and a generous donation on the charity hole saw them finish with nett 57.87 to take out third place on a count back. The runners up were off to a slow start when they were one over after five holes. Thankfully for them, they had a number of birdies on the way home, including three in a row to finish. This allowed them to shoot the lowest score of the day and record nett 56.37. Well played, Michael Kim, Jason Kim, Simon Coolican & Max McLachlan. The winners separated themselves from the field by over two shots after shooting a fine 65. They had a great start with two birdies in their first four holes. They would then have seven straight pars before the charity hole sparked them to a few more birdies and they finished with nett 53.87 to take the win. Congratulations Craig Nolen (18), Patrick Hosking (26), Chris Marsh (27) & Danny Towne (18). For the full results from the day, please click on the button below - 'Download All Results'.
