2023 Lexus of Central West Golf Invitational - Dubbo Golf Club

The Lexus of Central West Golf Invitational was held at Dubbo Golf Club under perfect conditions. Scoring was as close as it could get with a count back required to separate the winners and third place within a shot.

The third placed team of Natalie Cusack, Tim Cusack, Sue Button & Gary Button were just 0.62 shy of the winning score with nett 54.37. Their round started off well with a birdie and eagle already on the card after just four holes. That trend continued throughout the day and they would go on to record another seven birdies on their way to a great round of 61. The unlucky runners up round consisted of twelve birdies (including five in a row at one stage) on their way to the lowest score of the day, an incredible 59! Still, it was not enough as they would miss out on a count back with nett 53.75. Well played, Nathan Peckham, Daniel Harper, Neil Bartlett & Sam Coon. After a run of three birdies to start their round, the winners must have already been preparing their speech. However, things slowed down a little and they could only manage four birdies in the next eleven holes before finishing with a run of birdies to take the win on a countback with nett 53.75. Three guests also took part in the beginner golf lessons - congratulations to Chris Davis for taking out the putting competition.

The opportunity to go to the Lexus Melbourne Cup was drawn at the Lazy River Estate and Nicki Seton was the lucky winner. Nikki will have the opportunity to attend LANDMARK by Lexus for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
