2023 Melbourne City Lexus Golf Invitational - Huntingdale Golf Club

The second Melbourne City Lexus Golf Invitational was held at Huntingdale Golf Club and after the heavy rain the week before, we were treated to weather perfect for golf. The course was in fantastic shape as the Club Championship was concluded the day before, meaning low scores would be the order of the day.

The third placed team of Tony On, Hai Truong, Timmy Nguyen & Damien Nguyen shot the lowest score of the day, a great 63! They had a good start to their round but were certainly not threatening the top of the leader board, when they were three under par through twelve holes. Well, all that changed when they managed to birdie their last six holes to rocket up the leaderboard and finish with nett 54.75. The runners up were just 0.25 ahead with nett 54.5 and had a very similar round to the third place team. After eleven holes they were three under par, but managed five birdies in their last seven holes to leapfrog into second place. Well played, Brendan Bourke, Barry Faiman, Roger Wiltshire & Peter Eames. The winners were just over a shot ahead with nett 53.37 and incredibly managed to take out the win with four bogeys on their score card. The fact they had nine birdies and dug deep for a hole in one on the charity hole was enough to take out the win. Congratulations Louis Lachal (16). Jane Lachal (23), Marilyn Mott (32) & Brian Mott (22). For the full results from the day, please click on the button below - 'Download All Results'.

The on course charity event raised $3,525 for Breast Cancer Network Australia - thanks to all who contributed and special thanks to Melbourne City Lexus Ambassador, Shane Crawford for sharing some stories of his fundraising for BCNA over the years. Nadina was on the 10th hole with Flightscope - for a collection of swings, please see the video below:

Seven guests also took part in the beginner golf lessons and congratulations goes to Ashwaini Kakaria who took out the putting competition.

The opportunity to go to the Lexus Melbourne Cup and play The Royal Melbourne Golf Club was drawn at the end of the day and Richard Royle was the lucky winner. Richard will have the opportunity to play Royal Melbourne Golf Club and attend LANDMARK by Lexus for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
