2023 Lexus of Canberra Golf Invitational - Royal Canberra Golf Club

The Lexus of Canberra Golf Invitational was held at Royal Canberra Golf Club under perfect conditions. The course was looking beautiful and low scores would be the order of the day if teams were after the prizes on offer.

The winners separated themselves from the field by over three shots after shooting the lowest score of the day. The third placed team of Henry Posch, Dan Posch, Steven Mahar & Anthony Brooks were off to a great start to be three under par through six holes. However, five pars in a row would stall their momentum until they were able to get four birdies on their remaining holes to make their way up the leader board with nett 56.25. The runners up had a mixed round and were even par after four holes. They would then play the next ten holes in an incredible nine under par, including an eagle on the 1st hole. Unfortunately, that run could not be sustained and they bogeyed the 8th hole and would have to settle for second with nett 54.62. Well played, Ricky Stuart, Josh Pappalii, Joseph Tapine & James Service. The winners didn't have it all there own way and were in the middle of the leader board after eight holes with just two birdies on the card to that point. However, eight birdies in their final ten holes certainly made a difference and allowed them to take a comfortable victory with nett 51.25. Congratulations Mirko Milic, Zarko Prem, John Mikic & Ian Roberts. For the full results from the day, please click on the button below - 'Download All Results'.

Three guests also took part in the beginner golf lessons and with the driving range being out of action they were taken on course for some practice. Congratulations to Chris Ramsden who was the eventual winner of the putting competition.
