2022 Lexus of Parramatta Golf Invitational - Pennant Hills Golf Club - Friday 11th Nov

The Lexus of Parramatta Golf Invitational was held at Pennant Hills Golf Club under perfect conditions after the previous date had to be postponed. The course was presented beautifully and good scores would be required to take out the win, especially with three golf professionals on course and Ashleigh on the 1st hole.

In the end, two teams separated themselves from the rest of the field with incredible scores and it took a score of sub 50 to win the day! The third placed team of James Bullock, Brett Wood & Michael Edmonds took a while to settle into their round and were one over par after four holes. They then managed four birdies, but two more bogeys occurred before they had five birdies in a row to rocket them up the leader board and finish with nett 53.83. In contrast, the runners up were six under after six holes, thanks to one of the group holing a wedge for eagle on their fourth hole. Things did slow down, but more birdies would follow and they must be regretting their three pars to finish the day. Well played You Jin Kim, Joseph Trieu & Luigi Luongo who had nett 51. The winners did it in style and shot the lowest score of the day, a 58. A quick start allowed them to be eight under after eight holes, including a wonderful eagle on the par 5 5th hole. Things would slow up for a brief while when they had three pars in a row, but in true winner's style they came home with five birdies in their last seven holes to take out victory by just over a shot with nett 49.75. Congratulations Wayne Worthy (7), Bruce Auty (14), Aidan Leathem (27) & Hilton McKenna (18). For the full results from the day, please click on the button below - 'Download All Results'.
