2022 Lexus of Brighton Golf Invitational - The Victoria Golf Club

The Lexus of Brighton Golf Invitational was held at The Victoria Golf Club under perfect conditions. The course was presented beautifully with preparation well underway for the Australian Open taking place in December. Good scores would be required to take out the win, especially with Zach Murray on the 18th, Ashleigh on the 9th and two other golf professionals roaming the course.

The final result was extremely close with four teams within 1.17 of the winning score. In the end, it was just 0.25 of a shot between first and second. The third placed team of Tony Barry, Lyn Mallett, David Mallett & Angela Villani started in spectacular fashion with two eagles in their first three holes. This was followed by four birdies to have them out in front on the leader board at eight under through eleven holes. Unfortunately, they were unable to record any more birdies and would have to settle for third place with nett 54.5. The runners up were also off to a great start with three birdies on the card after four holes. Another few birdies were added until they could only manage a bogey on their second last hole to slip out of first place with nett 53.75. Commiserations to Derek Stott, Felicity Stott, Roger Donazzan & Susan Cramer. The winners kept the theme of good starts going to be seven under after eight holes, but like the other teams they slowed up near the end but still managed to shoot the lowest score of the day, a 62 and sneak over the line with nett 53.5. Congratulations Paul Fraser (16), Michael Palma (12), Jasmine Shih (30) & Wei Yu Chan (10). For the full results from the day, please click on the button below - 'Download All Results'.

The opportunity to go to the Lexus Melbourne Cup and play The Royal Melbourne Golf Club was drawn at the end of the day - congratulations to Roger Donazzan who will have the opportunity to attend LANDMARK by Lexus for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
