2022 Lexus of Berwick Golf Invitational - Peninsula Kingswood Country Club

The Lexus of Berwick Golf Invitational was held at the beautiful Peninsula Kingswood Country Club. Heavy rain overnight meant there was some standing water on the course, but the start of the day was promising with sunshine and light winds. Unfortunately, two hours into the round the heavens opened and the day had to be cut short with prizes awarded based on team scores after 7 holes.

The winner and runners up were both five under par when play stopped, meaning the difference in handicaps would separate them in the end. The unlucky runners up were Daniel Brady, James Hawkins, Luke Hoppe & Tim Johnston who finished with nett 59. Congratulations therefore, go to the winners of the day with nett 57.5 - Sue Hodgson, Michael May, Pamela Pearse & Catherine Thomas. Lexus Australia Golf Ambassador, Dimi Papadatos was on hand to show off his golfing talents by playing a hole with each team throughout the day...that was the plan anyway! In the end, we were able to have an extended Q&A with Dimi and local golf pro and 17 year European Tour veteran Marcus Fraser.

The on course charity event raised in excess of $1,000 for the Transit Charity - thanks to all who contributed! Ashleigh was on the 5th hole measuring the guest's 'smash factor'. See below for the swings of those who managed to reach the 5th hole...the last swing is one of true dedication!

Thirteen guests registered for the Lexus Lessons, but with the weather, they unfortunately didn't make it out to the course and we did a draw for the prizes instead.

The opportunity to go to the Lexus Melbourne Cup and play The Royal Melbourne Golf Club was drawn at the end of the day - congratulations to Jarrod Cahill who will have the opportunity to attend LANDMARK by Lexus for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
