2022 Lexus of Brighton Golf Invitational - Metropolitan Golf Club
The Lexus of Brighton Golf Invitational was held at The Metropolitan Golf Club under perfect conditions. The course was presented beautifully and good scores would be required to take out the win, especially with Blake Collyer on the 4th, Ashleigh on the 14th & Jade and Emily throughout the round.
In the end, it was a battle between two teams that separated themselves from the rest of the field with only 0.33 of a shot between them. The third placed team of Chris Tanti, Ryan Hickmott, Helen Henderson & Stewart Vandenberg-Pitt had a slow start and were actually one over par after four holes. Thankfully three birdies quickly followed and when they finished with five under on their last four holes, they rocketed up the leader board to finish with nett 54.25. The runners up were challenged as a three-ball team, but that did not stop them from shooting the lowest score of the day, a 61. They managed nine birdies and a hole in one on the charity hole to have a flawless round, but still managed to fall just short with nett 52.83. Commiserations to Mark Harrosh, Peter Harrosh & Reg Barrie. The winners didn't have it all their own way and after five holes had recorded a bogey, two birdies and two pars to be just one under par. From there they would play some great golf to have nine under for their remaining holes and sneak over the line with nett 52.5. Congratulations Greig Pereira (3), Evan Kotis (20), Meredith Holmes (30) & Ken Green (23). For the full results from the day, please click on the button below - 'Download All Results'.
