2021 ANZ Melbourne Golf Day - Huntingdale Golf Club
The ANZ Melbourne Golf Day took place at Huntingdale Golf Club on a cloudy, breezy day with the threat of rain that never eventuated. For the second ANZ golf day in a row we had 100% attendance and the new venue and format were sure to test the golfers.
In the end, six teams managed to score 100 points or more - considered a great score in this event. Third place went to the 3-ball team of Tony Fato, Craig Leetham & Will Hutton on 105. Even though they were a 3-ball team, they managed to get three 7-pointers and one 8-pointer, but most importantly, their lowest score was a four. The runners up had a great round to finish with 106 points and incredibly, only had one score less than five for the entire round. That, together with four 7-point and two 8-point holes was enough for second place. Well played Ben Volkering, Luke McFayden, Graham Kerr & Huw Thomas. The winners were never challenged and finished eight shots clear of the runners up with 114 points, mainly due to fifteen of their holes where they scored six points or better. That included five 7-pointers and three 8-pointers. Congratulations Ben Moceiwai (24), Andy Wingrove (11), James Vicary (24) & Billy Dwyer (10).
