2019 Lexus of Perth Golf Day - Joondalup Golf Resort

The Lexus of Perth Golf Invitational was held at the beautiful Joondalup Resort and all 27 holes were in play for the field of 182 players. The course was in fantastic shape and the warm weather forecast was softened by a sea breeze, meaning good scoring conditions for all.  

Three courses were in play on the day and with live leaderboards, teams were able to keep tabs on how they were placed. One team separated themselves from the rest and managed to win by just under three shots, but the difference between the runners up score and five other teams was a lot closer at just 0.25 of a shot. Taking out the best nett result on their respective courses (besides the overall winner & runner up) were:

Quarry/Lake - Ken Richards, Ben Khaw, John Auriemma & Mick Savich

Lake/Dunes - Mike Wilkinson, Pam Wilkinson, Frank Borrello & Michelle Pacecca

Dunes/Quarry - Chris Bright, Lois Woodgate & Gordon Bruce

The runners up had a fantastic round of ten under par, but still needed to birdie their last two holes to leapfrog a number of other teams. Well done to David Jeary, Wes Stansfield, Byron Winburn-Clarke & Doug Cunningham who finished with a nett 54.125. The winners started the day in the best way possible with an EAGLE. This was followed by ten birdies to post a flawless round of twelve under par and beat the rest of the field by just under three shots with nett 51.375. The charity event on course raised $3,350 for Telethon. Thank you to all who contributed. 

The opportunity for two Lexus owners to attend the Lexus Melbourne Cup was drawn at the end of the day. Congratulations to Ross Nayler & Luke Morris, who will have the opportunity to play Royal Melbourne Golf Club followed by a day at the races in the Lexus Design Pavilion for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
