The 6th Annual Fred Liuzzi Foundation Golf Day took place at the beautiful Metropolitan Golf Club. The course was in fantastic condition with the recent playing of the club championships, but unfortunately the weather wasn't as kind with a number of passing showers in between the occasional sunshine.
Scoring was extremely competitive with thirteen teams finishing within four shots of the winning score. The Olympic Hotel and Air Systems teams tied for third place with a nett 54.875 and just a quarter of a shot ahead were the CBA team who finished as the runners up. Our winners were a clear shot ahead of the rest of the field with a nett 53.625 and also shot the lowest score of the day with 61. Congratulations to the Dataline team of Jason Gray (6), Gary Chong (5), Paul Risdale (27) & Gavin Wong (21).
A number of on course events took place including the opportunity to win a Mercedes C43 for a hole in one on the 2nd hole - unfortunately it didn't go off, but special thanks to Mercedes Berwick for giving the players the opportunity. The nearest the pin on the 11th hole was won by Gerry Micari and longest drive on the 4th hole was taken out by John Duggan.
