Lexus of Parramatta Golf Invitational - 26th September 2019

The first of two Lexus of Parramatta Golf Invitationals took place at Twin Creeks Golf & Country Club under perfect conditions. 144 guests took part in either the 18 hole event or beginner lessons and all 'experienced amazing' on behalf of Lexus of Parramatta.

With so many guests in attendance, scores were bound to be good and in the end, three teams finished within halve a shot of the winning score.

The difference between second and third was just 0.125 of a shot. The unlucky third placed team played steadily all day and finished with two birdies to leapfrog some other teams. Well done to Chris Pragnell, Jimmy Cassidy, Michele Hobson & Rhonda Tresnan who had nett 56.375. The runners up had a fantastic start to be six under par after nine holes. That slowed up somewhat as they only managed one under on their final nine holes and would have to settle for the runners up prize when they finished with nett 56.25. Well played to Wayne Worthy, Kevin Adler, Joseph Lake & Leticia Lake who shot the equal lowest score of the day, a 65. In contrast to the second and third teams, the winners were struggling early in their round with a bogey on their very first hole! However, a strong finish that included four birdies and an eagle, allowed them to win by just 0.375 with nett 55.875 - congratulations to Brian Smyth (18), Margaret Smyth (26), David Rogers (27) & Michael Ball (18).

Thirty seven guests also enjoyed the beginner golf lessons with the local golf professionals. Congratulations to the following winners:

Putting Winner - Devendra Kumar

Putting Runner Up - John Kalogjera

Chipping Winner - Lynne Kopinya

Chipping Runner Up - Angelo Cauchi

The opportunity for one Lexus owner to attend the Lexus Melbourne Cup was drawn at the end of the day.
