Lexus of Darwin Golf Invitational 2018 - Darwin Golf Club

The Lexus of Darwin Golf Invitational took place under typically perfect conditions at the Darwin Golf Club. Guest's were able to take full advantage with the course in fantastic condition and scoring (particularly from the winning team) reflected that!

The difference between second and third place was a mere 0.25 of a shot. Finishing with a nett 58.875 in third place was the team of Jeff Pinkerton, Marilyn Pinkerton, Alex Ingram & Alex Julius who after a bogey, bogey start came back strongly to finish on even par. The runners up, in contrast started well to be two under par after five holes. A run of pars slowed their momentum, but they managed to finish with a three under score to secure the second place finish. Well done to Greg Brown, Glenda Brown, Trevor Ford & Fay Nolan who had a nett 58.625. Our winners, however were never in danger after posting a seven under round that included a bogey on the 18th hole. Congratulations to Brad Clarke (11), Marty Duggan (27), Mario D'Mello (18) & Tim Penhall (20) who had a nett 55.5 to win by more than three shots.

In excess of $1,000 was raised for Northern Territory Junior Golf via the novelty hole on the 16th. Guests also had the opportunity to win a Lexus IS300 Luxury for a hole in one. Unfortunately no hole in one was recorded, but all the attempts can be seen below with the shot tracer added.

Three guests took place in the beginner golf lessons with local professional, Kurt Watts. The winner of the short game competition was Zou Little - congratulations!

No one was more excited at the end of the day when Rosemary Aldridge's name was drawn out as the winner of the Lexus Melbourne Cup Experience. Well done Rosemary, we look forward to hosting you for what should be a fantastic event.
