Lexus of Chatswood Golf Invitational - 17th May 2018
The final of three Lexus of Chatswood Golf Invitationals took place at the beautiful Terrey Hills Golf & Country Club, with perfect conditions again greeting the guests. A number of teams took advantage and posted some great scores and the final result was extremely close with three teams finished within half a shot of the winning score.
In third place with a nett 54.625 was the team of Rob Somi, Jenni Somi, Alex Deligianis & Peter Wright who started steadily to be two under through nine holes before going on a five hole birdie spree to ignite their round. Unfortunately a par, par finish meant they had to settle for third. Only 0.125 of a shot in front were our runners up who had a great round with eight birdies ad no bogeys to post 64. Well done to Swee Wong, Tim Brown, Mark Hopkins & Simon Gooerick. Our winners were playing well early in the round but could not be seen at the top of the leaderboard until late, when they had five birdies in six near the end of their round. This was good enough to give them the victory by 0.375 of a shot with a nett 54.125. Congratulations to David Hayden (5), Rosalind Hayden (21), Hilton Chapman (26) & Penny Chapman (35). A number of on course activities were available to the guests, including the chance to win a Lexus NX for a hole in one. Unfortunately the car did not go off, but see the attempts below with the shot tracer technology added.
In excess of $3,000 was raised for Tour de Cure via the on course fundraising event and the raffle for the set of Piranha golf clubs - our sincere thanks!
Congratulations must also go to the winner of the Lexus Melbourne Cup Experience, Lynette Scott who will have a fantastic time as a guest of Lexus of Chatswood for the first ever running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
