HLB Mann Judd Golf Day 2018 - The Lakes Golf Club
The 25th playing of the HLB Mann Judd Golf Day took place at the home of the 2018 Australian Open, The Lakes Golf Club. The course was in fantastic condition and despite the breezy conditions, all players enjoyed the test of golf.
Scoring for the minor places proved to be very close with just 1/8th of a shot separating 2nd and 3rd. In third place with a nett score of 54.5 was the team of Kris Mason, John Flynn, Terry O'Neill, Tony Salier & Stephen Preen, who after a bogey on their first hole of the day managed to shoot seven under for their next seventeen. In second place was Todd Gammell, Josh Rowe, David Burge & Phil Kerr, who finished on nett 54.375 after a great round with eight birdies and the one lone bogey on the tough 3rd hole. The winners seemed to be playing a different game to the rest of the field as they tore the course apart to shoot eleven under par and come home with a nett 51.125 to beat the field by more than three shots. Congratulations to Brent McCullough (0), James McFarlane (27), Jamie Lobina (27) & Geoff Vickers (25).
