The Australian Golf Club was in amazing condition for the Fujitsu 15th Annual Charity Golf Day supporting Camp Quality. After a week of golf in relatively calm conditions, the Fujitsu guests were greeted with a stiff breeze that made things somewhat challenging. This was reflected by the lowest winning score in four years.
In third place with 94 points was the team of Stephen Conners, Robert Hinchey, Daryl Sisson & Geoff McQueen who were steady all day with eight 6-pointer holes and one 7-pointer hole. Unfortunately for them they finished with only nine points on their last two holes to lose by just one. The runner up team of Conway Kosi, Gary Hinksman, Greg Harbor & Peter McDonnell shot 95 and lost on a count back. They enjoyed a a very erratic round, littered with lots of 6-point holes, a couple of 7-point holes and even an 8-pointer. Unfortunately for them there were also two 3-point holes and that meant they would have to settle for second place. The winners also scored 95 points, but must have have doubted their ability to take the main prize when they scored just 2 points on their fifth hole of the day. Thankfully for them, they also had eight 6-point holes and two 7-point holes. Congratulations to Stuart Muirhead (11), Simon Truskett (13), Allistair Johnston (27) & Dean Gale (21).
