2022 Lexus of Perth Golf Invitational - Joondalup

The Lexus of Perth Golf Invitational was held at the beautiful Joondalup Resort. As usual, all guests were in carts and with perfect scoring conditions and a full field, scores were bound to be impressive.

Whilst the first two teams separated themselves from the rest of the field, there was only half a shot between the winners and the runners up. The third placed team recorded nett 54.75 and when they were only one under after ten holes, they mustn't have been thinking about a podium finish. Thankfully for them, they managed to record six birdies in their final eight holes to rocket up the leaderboard. Well played, Gary O'Brien, Ron Cunningham, Julie Cawthray & Paul Hayter. In contrast, the runners up started with three straight birdies and when a further seven birdies followed, they must have felt unlucky to have finished in second place with nett 52.625. Commiserations to Daniel Shilling, Colin Woodcock, Andrew Luckens & John Pilatti. The winners had a great round and finished two shots ahead of the next best score with a 60 off the stick to finish with nett 52.125. They were off to a fantastic start when they eagled their second hole. That was followed by ten birdies to take out the victory by just half a shot. Congratulations Richard Choong (14), Mike Glover (8), Chris Bright (23) & Kien Tham (18).

The opportunity to go to the Lexus Melbourne Cup and play The Royal Melbourne Golf Club was drawn at the end of the day - congratulations to Roger Leeds who will have the opportunity to attend LANDMARK by Lexus for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
