2022 Lexus of Berwick Golf Invitational - Peninsula Kingswood - 18th Feb

The 2021 Lexus of Berwick Golf Invitational was held over until early 2022 with the pandemic situation making it hard to host events late last year. In the end, we were able to host a great event for the guests on the North course at the spectacular Peninsula Kingswood. Even though the weather took a turn for the worse late in the day, teams were still able to put some great scores on the board. 

The third placed team were off to a steady start to be even par after their first six holes. A quick stretch of four birdies in five holes shot them up the leaderboard and put them in contention, but only one more birdie meant they would have to settle for third with nett 56.62. Well played, Angela Felix, Aldy Felix, Lyall Johaan & Joan Cumbrae-Stewart. The difference between first and second was only half a shot, with the runners up missing out on the winners prize after shooting the lowest round of the day - ten under par! They had a steady round with no bogeys and two balanced nines of five under on each side, so there is not much they can really complain about. Well done Sean Crowe, Andrew Oxland, Luke Ewart & James Bonnett who finished with nett 55.5. The winners had a great handicap combination for the event with handicaps of 12, 24, 25 & 27 and when they lucked out with a hole in one at the Charity hole, it certainly jumped them up the leaderboard. That, together with a bogey and five birdies was enough to lift the winners prize with nett 55. Congratulations Jarrod Cahill, Richard Horvat, Aaron Collins & Keith Fernandes.
