2021 Sydney City Lexus Golf Invitational - The Lakes Golf Club - November

The Sydney Lexus Golf Invitational was held under perfect conditions and with The Lakes course being presented in spectacular fashion, we were certainly going to see some low scores. A fantastic turn out was on hand for both golf and the beginner lessons with just under 100 golfers taking to the course and 20 Lexus owners being introduced to the game.

In the 18 hole event, the third placed team of Andrew Dyster, Mark Dalton, Christopher Morrison & Neil Thompson were off to a quick start with two birdies in their first three holes. Unfortunately for them, they could only manage another three birdies for the rest of the round and finished with nett 56.75. The runners up also enjoyed a fast start to be four under through four holes and must have already been preparing their winners speech. However, two bogeys and only three more birdies would mean they had to settle for second place with nett 55.25. Well done, Ken Traill, Alison Traill, Lynn Peaty & D'Arcy Marr. The winners had a great handicap combination for an Ambrose event with handicaps of 36, 36, 15 & 7. Still, with three tee shots required, they would all have to pull their weight to get over the line. What ensued was a great round of golf with six birdies an eagle and even a bogey on their way to 65 and nett 53.25 to win by exactly two shots. Over $3,500 was raised for the Love Mercy Foundation on course and this was matched by Sydney City Lexus taking the total raised just shy of $7,500. Twenty guests also enjoyed the beginner golf lessons with the local golf professionals. Congratulations to the following winners:
