2021 Lexus of Toowoomba Golf Invitational - Toowoomba Golf Club

The Lexus of Toowoomba Golf Invitational was held under clear skies and a record turn out would ensure the golf event would be hard fought. The Toowoomba Golf Club was in good condition and with the golf pros on course, scoring was anticipated to be good. 

In the end, scoring was extremely good with the winners shooting the magical score of 59! The third placed team of Peter Purcell, Rhondda Purcell, Marci Ingram & Kohen Mathiesen started slowly with three birdies in their first fourteen holes. Thankfully for them, they finished with four straight birdies for nett 53.25, just 0.25 short of second. The runners up had the worst possible start with bogeys on their first two holes. Some stern talking must have taken place amongst the group as they went on to have four birdies and an eagle in their next eight holes to storm up the leaderboard. They finally finished with nett 53 - well played, Brett Motton, Ashleigh Price, Peter Mcgrath & Kevin Brow. As mentioned above, the winners had a fantastic day on the course with nine birdies and an eagle on the way to 59. Congratulations to Vinnie Hede, Matthew Walls, Denis Duffy & Ivan Johnston who blew the rest of the field away when they finished with nett 49.12.
