2021 Lexus of Central Coast Golf Invitational - Kooindah Waters

The Lexus of Central Coast Golf Invitational was held at Kooindah Waters Golf Club under threatening conditions, but in the end, the rain stayed away until the post golf function was well underway. A number of golf professionals were on course, including Lexus Golf Ambassador Dimi Papadatos, so scores were expected to be good. 

Two teams would shoot fantastic scores of 61, but only one would be able to take out the winners prize. In fact, one of the 61s came from a low handicapped team and once the nett score was established, they didn't even make the top three. The third placed team had a mixed bag with two eagles, six birdies and two bogeys to finish with nett 53.25. Well played, Fay Bailey, Judy Ruitenberg, John Dolton & Howard Moore. The runners up of Tim Stapleton, Judy Stapleton, Richard Greville & Virginia Greville snuck in front of third place by just 0.375 of a shot and can thank a bogey free round after also recording six birdies and two eagles. Unfortunately for them, a par on the last instead of a birdie meant they were destined for second place by just 0.75 of a shot. The winners shot the equal lowest score of the day, a 61 and were steady out of the blocks, until a back nine of eight birdies and one par was enough to rocket them up the leader board. Congratulations to Stewart Scoon (18), Jason Thompson (18), Paul Bolton (23) & Clyde Wyborn (24) who finished with nett 52.12.

$2,070 was raised for Kids for Cancer via the on course charity event - more than double last year's total. Thank you to all who contributed.
