2020 Lexus of Chatswood Golf Invitational - Terrey Hills Golf & Country Club - 8th Sept

The first of three Lexus of Chatswood Golf Invitationals was held at Terrey Hills Golf & Country Club under perfect conditions. The beautiful course was extremely well presented and that would no doubt lead to some great scores, especially with Lexus Golf Ambassador, Dimi Papadatos hitting drives on the 16th hole. 

The third placed team of Christopher Woo, Keky Qie, Richard Lee & Guobin Zhang had a fantastic start and were seven under par through thirteen holes, however they couldn't quite finish it off, with five straight pars to finish their round and miss out on the runners up spot by 0.12 with a nett 55.37. The runners up fell just over a shot shy of the winning score when they finished with nett 55.25 after a score of 65. They had a steady round with three birdies on their first nine and when that was followed by an eagle, things were looking good. Six pars in a row were followed by two birdies to finish, but still it would not be enough for the victory - well played Joe Doering, Diane Doering, Darren Bourke & Frances Bourke. The winners created two Lexus records in their round. Firstly, never before has a team shot three eagles in the round and secondly, they created the lowest score for a six hole stretch with eight under par. With both of those records, it is easy to see why they were the winners on the day with a gross score of 62 and nett 54. Congratulations to Sue Cockerill (18), Robert Cockerill (23), Sylvia Robinson (21) & Stephen Robinson (2).

In excess of $2,000 was raised for Tour de Cure via the on course charity event and the raffle of Piranha irons. Sixteen guests also enjoyed the beginner golf lessons with two of the local golf professionals. Congratulations to the following winners:
