2019 Lexus of Wodonga Golf Invitational

The Lexus of Wodonga Golf Invitational took place at the Commercial Club, Albury, followed by an evening at the spectacular Miss Amelie's. The weather certainly played its part, as the guests were treated to perfect conditions.  Fifty one guests took part in either the 18 hole event or beginner golf lessons and many more joined us at Miss Amelie's and got to 'experience amazing' on behalf of Lexus of Wodonga.

As always, it was extremely competitive and in the end there was just 1 1/2 shots between the top three teams. In third place with nett 57 was the team of Anthony Whitehead, Bob Whitehead, Jenny Lodge & Brian Lodge who started strongly with two birdies in their first four holes, but unfortunately for them, they could not improve on that score for the remainder of the round. The runners up, in contrast, were off to the worst possible start with a bogey on their first hole. Thankfully, they managed to settle down after that with four birdies - two of which, were in their final three holes to finish with 67 and nett 56.75. Well done to Ben Playford, Margaret Playford, Dean Verity & Jade Taylor. The winners shot the lowest score of the day with a 64, but they too started with a bogey and if not for an amazing finish of five birdies in a row, it would have been a very different story.  In the end the margin was just 1.25 of a shot. Congratulations to Dean Jacob (14), Brad Tyrell (23), Edward Pitargue (16) & Renae Pitargue (15) who finished with nett 55.5.

Ashleigh was managing the 'smash factor' hole on the 11th - see below for a collection of shots (including the winner's smash factor of 1.53!).
