2019 Lexus of Macarthur Golf Invitational - New South Wales Golf Club

The Lexus of Macarthur Golf Invitational took place at the stunning New South Wales Golf Club under perfect conditions. With the kind weather and a large field, a great score would be required to take the victory. 

The third placed team had an amazing round and reached eleven under par with just one hole to go. Unfortunately for them, that last hole brought their only bogey of the day and dropped them back to third place with nett 56.625. Well done to Matthew Duggan, Col Duggan, Shaun Duggan & Grant Garcia. The runners up had a fast start with birdies on their first two holes. That start was slowed when they then bogeyed their third hole of the day. However, some steady play from there that included three birdies in a row at one stage, put them into second place with nett 56.125. Well played to Bill Lavery, Mary Lavery, David Thomsen & Anita Thomsen. The winners had a great round with nine birdies and an eagle. Their lone bogey on the par 3 2nd would have hurt at the time, but they managed to re-focus and finish five under for their last six holes to take the victory by less that a shot with nett 55.375. Congratulations to James Crisp (9), Steven Walda (4), Gary Smith (13) & Peter Hannaford (27).

The charity event on course raised $1,265 for the Mater Dei School, Camden and Sarah Ryan was there to accept the donation on behalf of the school - thank you to all who contributed. We also had a videographer on site for the day, so please enjoy some highlights in the video below.

The opportunity for one Lexus owner to attend the Lexus Melbourne Cup was drawn at the end of the day. Congratulations to Stephen Horder who will have the opportunity to play Royal Melbourne Golf Club followed by a day at the races in the Lexus Design Pavilion for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
