2019 Lexus of Dubbo Golf Invitational - Dubbo Golf Club

The Lexus of Dubbo Golf Invitational was held Dubbo Golf Club under beautiful, but warm conditions. A record crowd of 97 golfers took part in the 18 hole event and the lunch room was full to capacity with 160 guests in total 'experiencing amazing' from Lexus of Dubbo. 

With the largest ever field, scoring was bound to be good! In fact, it was the closest finish ever with three teams within 0.125 of the winning score. In third place on a count back with a nett 53 were Peter Allan, Michael Cowdrill, Todd Richards & Tracey Richards. They managed to shoot a great round of 62 that included seven birdies and an eagle when the cards fell in their favour on the 18th hole. The second place team also had a nett 53 after they shot the lowest round of the day, a 61. They started steadily but found some form mid-way through the round, when they recorded nine birdies in a twelve hole stretch. Well done to Brian Zaia, Nathan Walker, Peter Lucas & Adam Collier. The winning team just pipped the others to record a nett 52.875 with six birdies and an eagle on the 12th hole after they took advantage of Alizah's drive. Congratulations to Brett Wrigley (11), Paul Harris (27), Amanda Harris (7) & Rhonda Lew (36).

The charity event on course raised an amazing $3,162.55 for the R U Ok Charity. Thank you to all who contributed and well done to Colleen for your efforts to maximise the money raised. We also had the 'smash factor' hole on the 12th - see below for a collection of shots (including the winning smash factors of 1.52!).

After the prize presentation we were treated to some great comedy from Darren Carr...and who could forget Brad's cameo! 

The opportunity for one Lexus owner to attend the Lexus Melbourne Cup was drawn at the end of the day. Congratulations to Lou Dickson, who will have the opportunity to play Royal Melbourne Golf Club followed by a day at the races in the Lexus Design Pavilion for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
