Sydney City Lexus Golf Invitational - September 2019 - The Lakes Golf Club

The Sydney City Lexus Golf Invitational took place at The Lakes Golf Club and after rain effected the earlier event in the year, guests were treated to magnificent weather and a course to match. 

With the perfect conditions, scores were bunched and a number of count backs were required to separate the teams.  The third placed team were one of those lucky enough to have the count back in their favour when they recorded a nett 57 after a great round of 68. Well done to Gary Jenner, Vishnu Naidu, Michael Crimmins & David Crossley. The first and second placed teams also needed a count back to separate them when they both finished with 65 and had the exact same handicap to also post a nett 56. The unlucky runners up had a great round with seven birdies in ten holes at one stage and that was even more impressive with the fact they were one of the three ball teams. Their great effort landed them just short, but well done to Ian Moore, Emaid Dib & Rami Sabai. Our winners started strongly to be three under par through their first four holes and they kept their round going to finish with a great score of seven under par. Congratulations to Zac Acevski (18), Luke Timewell (12), Tony Kelly (24) & Claude Allouche (18).

The charity event on course raised in excess of $1,500 for the Love Mercy Foundation - thank you to all who contributed. It was also great to hear more about the charity from Eloise Wellings and Pat Farmer over lunch. 

Ashleigh was managing the 'smash factor' hole on the 8th - see below for a collection of shots (including our winning smash factors of 1.53!).

The opportunity for one Lexus owner to attend the Lexus Melbourne Cup was drawn at the end of the day. Congratulations to Gary Jenner who will be playing the number one course in the country, Royal Melbourne Golf Club, followed by a day at the races in the Lexus Design Pavilion for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
