Lexus of Port Macquarie Golf Invitational 2020 - Port Macquarie Golf Club

The first event of the 2020 Lexus Golf calendar took place at Port Macquarie Golf Club for the Lexus of Port Macquarie dealership. Considering the recent rain, it was amazing to be playing and even better to have a 100% attendance. 

With little to no run on the golf course, it was going to be a tough day out. That said, there were some great scores produced and in the end, five teams were within three shots of the winning score. The runners up were just over a shot behind the winners and that was good news for them, because the bogey they had on their last hole of the day did not effect the final result. The fact they were a three-ball team made their effort to finish runners up even better - well done to David Anderson, Craig Emmerson & Ian Emmerson who finished with nett 59. The winners not only had the lowest score of the day, a 67. After a slow start with a bogey on their second hole, they quickly regrouped and managed to get four birdies in a six hole stretch. Congratulations to Peter Hearle (17), Bill Cumberland (20), Gordon Wicks (24) & Ian Brown (18) who finished with nett 57.125.

The charity event on course raised $475 for the Australian Cancer Research Foundation - thank you to all who contributed.

The opportunity for one Lexus owner to attend the Lexus Melbourne Cup was drawn at the end of the day. Congratulations to Ian Brown who will have the opportunity to play The Metropolitan Golf Club followed by a day at the races in the Lexus Design Pavilion for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
