Lexus of Maroochydore Golf Invitational 2018 - Twin Waters Golf Club

The Lexus of Maroochydore Golf Invitational was held at Twin Waters Golf Club under perfect conditions. Unfortunately, due to recent rains the guests were required to keep the golf carts on paths, but it was clear to see a big effort had been put in by the green staff and the course was in great shape for the event. 

Scoring was particularly good, with three teams finishing on seven under par. In the end we had a clear winner but the runners up had to be separated on a count back and there were another two teams within half a shot. In third place after the count back were Grant Smallacombe, Peter Van den Bogert, Steve Redman & Marilyn Redman, who must be regretting the bogey on their final hole that saw them slip into third place with a nett 56. In contrast, the runners up birdied their final hole to also record a nett 56. Congratulations to Jon Miles, Wayne Beck, Ian McDowell & Tony Riddle who had a clean score card with seven birdies and no bogeys. The winners started with a couple of pars before they found their mojo and recorded five birdies in a seven hole stretch. A further two birdies saw them finish on seven under par to record a nett score of 54.375. Congratulations to Joseph Quang (18), John Moloney (22), Chris Perry (18) & Ambre Perry (27). In excess of $1,300 was raised for Motor Neurone Disease via the novelty hole on the 7th. Guests also had their swings recorded on the 1st hole with the results shown below with the shot tracer added...enjoy!

Congratulations also go to Tony Arlidge who was lucky enough to have his name drawn out as the winner of the Lexus Melbourne Cup Experience. Well done Tony, we look forward to hosting you for what should be a fantastic event.
