Lexus of Chatswood Golf Invitational - 3 May 2018

The first of three Lexus of Chatswood Golf Invitationals took place at the beautiful Terrey Hills Golf & Country Club under perfect conditions. The event was made even more special with a record crowd of owners on hand for the beginner lessons.

More records were set in the 18 hole event, with one team winning by more than five shots! In third place with a nett 57.125 was the team of Elliott Kim, Jung Soon Kim, Denis Sheerin & David Richardson, who after a steady start managed five birdies in their last thirteen holes to finish with a gross score of 67. Only 0.625 of a shot in front were our runners up who were languishing at one over par through their first four holes until they clicked into gear and had seven birdies coming home. Well done to Daniel Bateup, Heather Roberts, Scott & Cheryl Cunningham. Our winners, however, seemed to be playing a different course as they finished with a gross score of twelve under par, that included ten birdies and an eagle after taking advantage of Jody's drive on the 1st. It wasn't all plain sailing though with one of their players having to hit the very last drive of the day to ensure the minimum three tee shots were recorded. Congratulations to John & Fiona Karren and Ray & Sarina Bratton who played a fine round of golf and finished with a nett 51.25. A number of on course activities were available to the guests, including the chance to win a Lexus NX for a hole in one. Unfortunately the car did not go off, but see the attempts below with the shot tracer technology added.

Four of the local golf professionals at Terrey Hills managed the beginner golf lessons with 46 Lexus owners taking part. Congratulations to Phillip Greenwood who won the putting competition and Stephanie Anne Maritz who won the chipping competition. Encouragement awards were also handed out to Donna Li and Angela Chang. A big thanks to all those who made the effort and we hope you enjoyed the experience.

In excess of $2,000 was raised for Tour de Cure via the on course fundraising event and the raffle for the set of Piranha golf clubs - our sincere thanks!

Congratulations must also go to the winner of the Lexus Melbourne Cup Experience, Lindsay Freeman who will have a fantastic time as a guest of Lexus of Chatswood for the first ever running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
