Hollard Insurance Golf Day 2018 - New South Wales Golf Club
The 11th Annual Hollard Insurance Golf Day was held at the majestic New South Wales Golf Club under near perfect conditions. The course presentation equalled the great weather and lead to some of the best scoring ever seen at the event.
Taking out the prize for the best front nine were the group of Richard Enthoven, Greg Mullins, Barry Fitzpatrick & Paul Dwyer who after a bogey on the first hole, managed six birdies in their next eight to win on a count back. The winners of the best back nine were Mike McShane, Rowan Watson, Nick McLardy & Neville Ford who shot an incredible 29, that included five straight birdies from 14 to 18. Unlucky to miss out on the runners up position by just 0.125 of a shot were Jono Edwards, Craig Robson, Rohan Stewart & David Bailey who must be feeling hard done by after a great round of ten under par. The second place team used their handicaps well to finish on a nett 53.75 but after a great start when they were four under through six holes, they had to wait another eight holes before they could secure another birdie. Well done to Oliver Gohl (18), Daniel Taback (27), Kudzi Tagwireyi (27) & Nathan Crothers (22). The eventual winners were off to the best start possible with a birdie and eagle on their first two holes. That was followed by another seven birdies on their way to a ten under par round and a victory by two shots with a nett 51.25.
