ANZ 2019 Sydney Golf Day

The ANZ Sydney Golf Day took place at The Lakes Golf Club with probably the best weather we have ever had. A capacity crowd were on hand and with the course in fantastic condition, scores were bound to be good. 

In the end, five teams were within one shot of the winning score and the difference between the winners and the runners up was the smallest margin possible, just 1/8th of a shot. Both the winners and the runners up shot the best score of the day, a fantastic 63. The runners up started steadily and then had a run of six birdies in eight holes to steam up the leaderboard, however, only one birdie in their last four holes meant they wouldn't be taking home the winner's prize. The winners got off to a great start, when they were five under through eight holes, although a bogey on the tough 12th hole would have made them aware of just how many teams were close behind. Four under par on their final five holes, including a birdie on their last hole - the very tough 3rd - allowed them to take the win with a nett 55.75.
