2022 Lexus of Chatswood Golf Invitational - Terrey Hills - 19th May

The second Lexus of Chatswood Golf Invitational was held at the beautiful Terrey Hills Golf & Country Club. After a cool start, it turned out to be a very pleasant day and with the soft conditions, scoring was bound to be good. 

In the end, it was extremely close - just 0.13 of a shot separated first and second. The third placed team had one of the most unique scorecards ever seen, with two hole in ones!!! One came on the fundraising hole but the other was the work of Troy Green who holed his tee shot on the 15th - congratulations Troy! These hole in ones were surrounded by four birdies to give the team nett 53. Well played, Allan Lyne, Bronnie Lyne, Troy Green & Mick Pich. The runners up were challenged from the start as they were a three-ball team. Still, they had a fantastic score of 60 with nine birdies and an eagle for nett 52. But a par on the charity hole would prove to be the difference in the end. Well played, Greg Chippendale, Richie Lee & John Faiman. The winners started off with six straight birdies and were soon the talk of the course. Their run did slow slightly, but another five birdies and an eagle on the charity hole meant they signed for an amazing score of 58! The on course charity event raised in excess of $4,500 for Tour de Cure - thanks to all who contributed via the on course fundraiser or Piranha golf club raffle. Ashleigh was on the 1st hole measuring the guest's 'smash factor'. For a collection of swings, please see the video below:

The opportunity to go to the Lexus Melbourne Cup and play The Royal Melbourne Golf Club was drawn at the end of the day - congratulations to Robert Cockerill who will have the opportunity to attend LANDMARK by Lexus for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
