2022 Lexus of Tasmania Golf Invitational - Royal Hobart Golf Club

The Lexus of Tasmania Golf Invitational was the first Lexus event held under the new dealership name. The beautiful Hobart weather ensured a full crowd was in attendance and the change of format to a PM start meant that 80 guests attended the post golf dinner. 

On the golf front, it was extremely close with three teams finishing within one shot of the winning score. The third place team shot the lowest score of the day, but also had the lowest handicap and hence their nett 59.12 wasn't quite enough. They were off to a quick start, with birdies on three of their first four holes. More birdies would follow, but a bogey on the tough 1st hole kept them from taking out the winners prize. Well played, Craig Radin, Ian Rankine, Simon Banks & Chris Ellis. The runner up were even closer when they missed out on first place by just 0.13 of a shot with nett 58.25. They too were undone by the tough 1st hole with their only bogey of the day. Thankfully, they finished with a couple of late birdies to find themselves in second place. Well done, Lyn Jackson, Michael Jackson, Garry Jeffrey & Rob Scallon. The winners had a mixed bag on the course with an eagle, four birdies and two bogeys, but they were still able to get over the line by the barest of margins.  Congratulations Tim McConnon, Chase McConnon, Shane Goss & Todd Tatnell. The opportunity to go to the Lexus Melbourne Cup and play The Royal Melbourne Golf Club was drawn at the end of the day - congratulations to Kenneth Smith who will have the opportunity to attend LANDMARK by Lexus for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
