2022 Lexus of Darwin Golf Invitational - 24th June

The Lexus of Darwin Golf Invitational was held at the beautiful Darwin Golf Club. After a cool start the day, that saw jumpers and even a beanie on display, it warmed up and guests were treated to a perfect day for golf. With the course in fantastic condition, scores were bound to be good. 

In the end one team ran away with the victory by just under two shots after shooting a ten under round of 62. The third placed team must be ruing their slow start when they were even par through four holes, before finishing with eight birdies for a nett 57.12. Well done, Dennis Christofis, Michael Kariamis, Holly Trembath & Scott Trembath. The runners up were exactly one shot better with nett 56.12 and if it weren't for only one birdie in their final six holes, things might have been different. Well played Trevor Ford, Andrew Blakey, Craig Hohn & Graham Baulch. The winners were off to a great start when they were four under after three holes, taking full advantage of the charity hole on the 11th. Things went a bit quiet after that, but five birdies in their last seven holes sealed the victory with nett 54.25. The on course charity event raised $2,955 for the Cancer Council and when this was matched by Lexus of Darwin it took the total to $5,910! Ashleigh was on the measuring the guest's 'smash factor' on the 14th hole - congratulations to Amy Caird who recorded 1.51. For a collection of swings, please see the video below:
