2022 Lexus of Chatswood Golf Invitational - Terrey Hills - 14th June

The final Lexus of Chatswood Golf Invitational was held at the beautiful Terrey Hills Golf & Country Club and after being postponed from May due to the terrible weather, the guests were rewarded with a perfect day.

In the end it was extremely close with just 0.05 of a shot separating the winners and runners up. The third placed team had a great round going with eight birdies until they reached their final hole, the charity hole. For them it there was no other option but to donate to get the automatic hole in one, thrusting them into third place with nett 52.25. Well done, Alex Deligianis, Shane Laws, Antonio Gabrielli & Carlo Iannacito. The second placed team also shot ten under par with eight birdies and the hole in one on the charity hole, but a par on their last hole (the easy par 5 1st) would mean they would have to settle for second place with nett 51.87. Well played, Kevin Davis, Richard Haydon, Warren Payne & Wendy Pontey. The winners were challenged at the start of the day when they were the only 3-ball team on the course. That, however, didn't affect them as they went on to shoot the lowest score of the day, a 61! Their round got off to a hot start when they were six under after eight holes and then out of nowhere they bogeyed the 2nd hole. Thankfully for them, that was their last bogey of the day and they went on record six under for their remaining holes to finish with nett 51.83. The on course charity event raised $3,310 for Tour de Cure and more was raised with the Piranha golf club raffle and golf bag auction, taking the total over $5,500. Ashleigh was on the 1st hole measuring the guest's 'smash factor'. For a collection of swings, please see the video below:

The opportunity to go to the Lexus Melbourne Cup and play The Royal Melbourne Golf Club was drawn at the end of the day - congratulations to Judy Ludvik who will have the opportunity to attend LANDMARK by Lexus for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
