2021 Lexus of Central West Golf Invitational - Dubbo Golf Club

The Lexus of Central West Golf Invitational was challenged this year with a forecast that was not for the faint hearted. In true Lexus spirit we had a 100% roll up and the guests were rewarded with calm conditions to start the round. Unfortunately, that did not last and about an hour and a half into the event the heavens opened. Most guests held their position and were able to continue their round for about another hour until the heavy rain returned and forced an end to play. Thankfully everyone had time to dry out and enjoy the post golf entertainment care of Kerry O'Keeffe.

On the golf front, the eighteen hole event was reduced to twelve, with the winners decided on how well your team was doing in relation to where you received shots on the course. The minor places were extremely close with nine teams within one shot of third place. The team of Ben Jordan, Noeleen McAlister, Jennifer Quelch & Catherine Cox were the lucky team to finish in third when they were four under par through their twelve holes giving them a score of 10 better than their handicap. Finishing 10.75 shots better were the team of Brian Kinsey, Helen Kinsey, Christine McMahon & Keiran McMahon who were seven under par for the day when play was halted. In the end there were clear winners with Grahame Allan (7), Sharon Allan (33), Peter Allan (11) & Peter Ipkendanz (13) being five under par when play was stopped, putting them 12 shots better than their handicap.

Ashleigh was on the first tee hosting the Flightscope Smash Factor event - see the video below for the results.

Colleen was raising money for the Royal Flying Doctors and we would like to thank all who contributed towards the $2,070 raised.

Eight guests also enjoyed the beginner golf lessons and were thankful of the purpose built teaching studio that kept them dry during the downpour and allowed them to still learn from Simon. Congratulations to the winners below:

Putting Winner - Laurinne Montgomery

Putting Runner Up - Natalie Martinez

Chipping Winner - Mark Willoughby

Chipping Runner Up - Sue Brennan

The opportunity for one Lexus owner to attend the Lexus Melbourne Cup was drawn at the end of the day. Congratulations to Michael Cromk, who will have the opportunity to play The Royal Melbourne Golf Club followed by a day at the races in the Lexus Design Pavilion for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
