2021 HLB Mann Judd Golf Day - Concord Golf Club
The 28th Annual HLB Mann Judd Golf Day was held at its traditional home, Concord Golf Club under perfect conditions. Unlike last year when one team ran away with the victory, the 2021 event would prove to be extremely close with five teams within two shots of the winning score.
In third place (on a count back) with a nett 53.75 were Barry Taylor, Craig Ensor, Adam Young & Stuart Ambridge who had a great round going but just couldn't finish it off, only going one under for their last eight holes to finish with 64. Just over a shot in front were our runners up - Jamie Hunter, Steve Facer, Kris Mason, Warrick Oakes & Richie Connelly. After a par, eagle start their confidence was diminishing after five straight pars until they finished strongly to post seven birdies in their last eleven holes and rocket up the leaderboard with nett 52.7. The winning team took advantage of their handicaps and knew they didn't have to be the lowest score on the day to feature. In fact, they were one over par after three holes but that clearly didn't disturb them as they went on to get seven birdies for the remainder of the round and win by just over half a shot with nett 52.12.
