2019 Melbourne City Lexus Golf Invitational - Huntingdale Golf Club

The second Melbourne City Lexus Golf Invitational took place at Huntingdale Golf Club for the first time in more than a decade. The weather was kind to the guests and with a large field, good scores were on offer. 

The third placed team had a mixed start with a birdies and a bogey on their starting holes. They played steadily for the next eleven holes until they had three birdies to finish their round and jump into third place with nett 57.25. Well done to John Williams, Nola Williams, Bob Reynolds & Rossano Bergamin. The runners up, in contrast had a fast start with eight birdies in their first thirteen holes. Unfortunately for them, they would not see any more birdies on the way home and finished with nett 56.75, more than one shot adrift of the winners. Commiserations to, John Damolis, Arthur Damolis, Peter Renwick & Stathi Renwick. The winners had a great round with eight birdies in total - five of those coming on their closing nine holes to ensure a victory with a fine score of 64 and nett 55.5. Congratulations to David Stewart (13), Cisco Thi Lai (10), Scott Wilson (18) & Brenton Davis (27).

The charity event on course raised in excess of $1,825 for the Breast Cancer Network Australia - thank you to all who contributed. Ashleigh was managing the 'smash factor' hole on the 10th - see below for a collection of shots (including the winner's smash factor of 1.53!). 

Twenty one guests also enjoyed the beginner golf lessons with Scott and Lisa, the local golf professionals. Congratulations to the following winners:

The opportunity for one Lexus owner to attend the Lexus Melbourne Cup was drawn at the end of the day. Congratulations to Raffaele Colasante who will have the opportunity to play Royal Melbourne Golf Club followed by a day at the races in the Lexus Design Pavilion for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
