2019 Lexus of Toowoomba Golf Invitational - Toowoomba Golf Club, Middle Ridge

The Lexus of Toowoomba Golf Invitational took place at Toowoomba Golf Club, Middle Ridge on what turned out to be a beautiful morning for golf. A great field was on hand and Lexus of Toowoomba added a bit of fun on course with King Henry and his trick shots. 

Scoring seemed to be easier for some than others, with a new Lexus record set for the largest victory margin - a staggering 6.125 shots! In third place with a nett 58.875 was the team of Robbie Butler, Garreth Butler, Jeff Bubeck & Michael O'Brien. After a bogey, bogey start, the last thing they would have been thinking about was a podium finish. However, some steady golf coming home saw them post five birdies along the way to finish with a 71. The runners up also started slowly with a bogey on their first hole, but a quick birdie on the next saw their spirits rise. They followed this birdie with another six for the round, including one on their last hole to slip into second place with a nett 58.125. Well done to Brett Motton, Lachlan Briskey, Jamie Smith & Rachael Smith. The winners (believe it or not), also started slowly with three run-of-the-mill pars giving no indication of what was to come - a birdie blitz - with eight birdies in the next ten holes. Throw in an eagle and another birdie on the way home and the winners prize was theirs with a nett 52. Congratulations on a great round of golf, Mick Coorey (27), Neil Murphy (9), James Spanjol (18) & Mick Wilkinson (18).

The charity event on course raised in excess of $515 for RACQ Life Flight Rescue - thank you to all who contributed. We also had the 'smash factor' hole on the 10th - see below for a collection of shots (including our winners smash factor of 1.52!).

The opportunity for one Lexus owner to attend the Lexus Melbourne Cup was drawn at the end of the day. Congratulations to Deseree Tyson, who will have the opportunity to play Royal Melbourne Golf Club followed by a day at the races in the Lexus Design Pavilion for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
